Job Title: Data & Insights Manager


Location: India, Maharashtra, Mumbai


About the role:


The Market Intelligence and Insights Manager will be responsible for enterprise-wide delivery of comprehensive market, competitive, and customer insights to support strategic decision-making across the company’s therapeutic areas. This role involves leveraging data analytics, market re-search, and strategic thinking to drive business growth and innovation. This role will play a pivot role in


1. Providing detailed market and competitive insights to support strategic planning, product development, and market entry strategies.


2. Monitoring and analyzing competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities, enabling Takeda to maintain and enhance its market position.


3. Gathering and interpreting customer data to understand preferences and behaviors, ensuring that products and services meet market demands and enhance patient outcomes.


4. Utilizing advanced data analytics to deliver actionable insights that guide business strategies and improve operational efficiency.


5. Working collaboratively with departments such as business units, medical affairs, market access etc to align market insights with business objectives and ensure cohesive strategy execution.


6. Identifying emerging trends and new market opportunities, supporting innovation and enabling Takeda to stay ahead in the dynamic pharmaceutical landscape.


How you will contribute:


Role & Responsibility


  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to gather insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.


  • Develop and disseminate market intelligence reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform strategic planning and decision-making.


  • Conduct primary research, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups and secondary research to gather customer insights.


  • Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations for product development, marketing, and sales strategies.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and executive leadership to provide strategic insights.


  • Support business development and strategic planning initiatives with market and customer intelligence.


  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate findings and recommendations.


  • Present insights to senior management and other stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.


  • Establish groundwork for strategic decision-making by uncovering trends and insights that can guide business strategies and improve outcomes based on available dataset.


  • Collect, automate, & manage high quality data (accurate, consistent, reliable) throughout lifecycle, which is critical for making valid and trustworthy decisions


  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights & develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments


Stakeholder


  • Collaborate with Business Unit heads, Customer Excellence Head, Sales managers, and DD&T and other subject matter experts to drive organizational goals and priorities.


  • Market Research service providers


Requirements


  • Ability to see the “big picture” and understand the tactical implication


  • Ability to influence without authority, in all directions, and to be consultative

  • Possess a solid foundation in data analysis and practical experience with statistical / visualization tools (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, power BI) and skills in data analysis languages.


  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights for marketing and sales growth. 


  • Skilled at transforming complexity into clear, structured and well-organized processes


  • Customer centric focus with strong understanding of customer journey mapping and design


  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business environment and business needs

What you bring to Takeda:


Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statis-tics or a comparable discipline or background with prior experience in data analysis. Experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare business is advantageous.


  • Hand on experience in Market research is preferred


  • Experience in consulting is referred
