Job Title: Data Governance Manager


Location: Hyderabad, India


Employment Type: full-time


The job


As a Data Governance Manager, you will leverage your expertise to drive excellence in the following key areas:


  • Data Governance Leadership: Serve as a trusted expert in data governance, providing strategic guidance and fostering best practices throughout the data governance lifecycle.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to ensure the adoption of organizational standards, adherence to governance policies and procedures, and the implementation of a structured process for managing changes, promoting accountability and ownership.


  • Consistency and Compliance: Lead recurring data governance reviews to ensure consistency, alignment, and adherence to governance standards across platforms and systems.


Key responsibilities


Establish Governance Frameworks: Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of data governance practices, promote accountability, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Monitor and Review Compliance: Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain consistency and adherence to data governance standards across systems and processes.
Foster a Data-Driven Culture: Provide training and guidance to stakeholders, empowering teams to effectively manage and utilize data while adhering to governance principles.


Essential requirements


Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements and ensure that they are properly managed throughout their lifecycle.


• Design and implement data quality monitoring and reporting processes to ensure that data remains accurate and consistent.


• Work with IT teams to establish data standards and guidelines for data management and use.


• Identify and manage data risks and issues, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.


• Develop and deliver training programs to promote data governance best practices across the organization.


• Monitor/report on metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.


• Stay current with industry developments in data governance and compliance.


Desired skills


Utilization of tools such as Informatica, SQL Server, Power BI or other tools for viewing, profiling, querying, and analyzing data from multiple data sources.


Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Hybrid working
