The Ecosystem & Operational Risk team is responsible for building critical risk and fraud detection services at Visa. This includes idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and its clients.
Essential Functions
• Tasked with building and maintaining highly scalable data processing pipelines using BigData technologies and SOA architecture
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that meet requirements, align with the architectural vision, and adhere to all applicable standards. Responsibilities cover all phases of solution development.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
• Responsible for identifying opportunities for further enhancements and refinements on standards, processes, application functionalities, and operation excellence.
• Engagement in requirements definition and clarification in collaboration with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of the business needs is important.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong coding skills in Java or Scala.
• Knowledge in Hadoop (HDFS, MapReduce) and Spark (RDDs, DataFrames, Datasets).
• Have good knowledge on query processing languages like SQL/HQL is must.
• Have good knowledge with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL or DB2.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and working in a shell environment.
• Have good knowledge in Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git etc.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
