Data Engineer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Informatica:
  
  The candidate should have a strong foundation in Informatica, including development, maintenance, and support.
  
  
• ETL and Data Integration:
  
  A deep understanding of ETL concepts, data integration methodologies, and data warehousing is essential.
  
  
• SQL and Database Management:
  
  Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as Hive, Oracle, SQL Server, or others.
  
  
• Scripting:
  
  Familiarity with scripting languages like Scala, Unix/Linux Shell scripting can be beneficial.
  
  
• Problem-Solving:
  
  Strong problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying and resolving production issues efficiently.
  
  

• Production Support:
  
  Monitor and maintain Informatica BDM environments, actively resolving production issues, and ensuring high availability.
  
  
• Development and Enhancement:
  
  Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL workflows and mappings. Gather requirements for new data integration solutions and enhancements.
  
  
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  
  Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and share knowledge with team members. Assist in training new team members.
  
  
• Quality Assurance:
  
  Implement data validation checks and quality controls to ensure data accuracy.
  
  
• Performance Tuning:
  
  Monitor and optimize Informatica workflows and mappings to improve performance.
  
  
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve data integration-related problems.
  
  
• On-Call Support:
  
  Provide on-call support as needed to address critical production incidents.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in Informatica BDM development and production support.
  
• Knowledge on Cloud Technologies is a plus.
  
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, business stakeholders, and provide support.
  
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  
• Problem Solving: The ability to think critically and solve complex technical problems is crucial for addressing production issues.
