We're seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Specialist with 5-7 years of experience to transform raw data into actionable insights through compelling and interactive dashboards and reports. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, analyze data, and create visualizations that drive data-informed decision-making. Expertise in Power BI or Tableau is essential. While strong analytical skills are important, this role emphasizes visualization expertise and communication of insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Visualization Development & Design:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
Create complex calculations, measures, and custom visuals.
Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and user experience.
Employ data visualization best practices and storytelling techniques.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation:
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives.
Collaborate with data engineers/analysts to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
Present data insights and visualizations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide training and support to end-users on dashboards and visualization tools.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in Power BI or Tableau
Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
Experience with data modeling principles.
Proficiency in Python or R is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and big data tools is an added advantage.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
