We offer joint operations and digitalization services for Global Business Services and work closely alongside the entire Shared Services organization. We make optimal use of the possibilities of new technologies such as Business Process Management (BPM) and Robotics as enablers for efficient and effective implementations.
We are looking for Data Analytics Engineer
- You are part of an international data analytics team with diverse backgrounds, utilizing state-of-art data analytics methods to accelerate Siemens internal digitalization.
- You interact regularly with other data teams across Siemens to collaborate on data modelling and data warehousing challenges.
- Take ownership of key projects and manage those projects with the key stakeholders from the business.
- You build data models by extracting, transforming, and processing unstructured or structured data from a diverse range of source systems.
- You shape and implement the data architecture, including standards for data models, metadata, security, reference data such as product catalogues, and master data such as customers and products.
- You are working with major Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated warehouses and tools (Snowflake & dbt).
- You are familiar with data and AI-related agile software development lifecycle methodologies, unit testing and integration frameworks.
- You participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and knowledge sharing sessions.
- You act as a technical leader, mentor, collaborator, and champion of best practices.
You’d describe yourself as:
- A university degree (Masters preferred) in IT, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative field
- Ability to understand technical concepts and turn them into business terms & vice versa
- Deep understanding of data warehousing, data modelling/data engineering, ETL/ELT, performance tuning & data architecture
- General knowledge & understanding of ERP data & systems
- Expert programming skills in SQL and, preferably, Python & Jinja
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 5+ years of in-depth hands-on experience with Snowflake (ideally using dbt for development)
- Experience with migrating legacy systems to the cloud
- Hands-on experience with Git
- Customer centric mindset
- Familiar with agile working methods

- Very good command of English
