Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst
Location: Gurgaon (Hybrid Work Model)


Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join a leading global company. This position will involve leveraging data management, analytics, and strategic insights to drive business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, creating automated solutions and data-driven models to optimize business processes.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Data Management and Analytics Insight Delivery:


  • Conduct complex analyses to transform data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making for key business projects.
  • Create automated data pipelines for scalable extraction and transformation of data.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor business performance and drive key business decisions at various leadership levels.
  • Design high-quality models to measure the impact of analytics use-cases and continuously improve these models.
  • Maintain data validation procedures to ensure data quality across projects and initiatives.
  • Present insights in compelling ways, creating a data storytelling experience for diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop proof of concepts for new analytics initiatives, focusing on both customer and product-centric solutions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Coordination and Communication:


  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, data engineers, and business teams to identify opportunities for improvement and define processes to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to update them on project development progress.
Functional/Technical Competencies:
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI for data dashboarding and reporting.
Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Minimum Qualifications/Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.

Minimum Experience:


  • 4-6 years of experience in a senior Data Analyst role, particularly in an international environment.
  • Proven ability in creating and building evaluation tools to assess product performance and user behavior, with a track record of demonstrating value.
  • 2+ years of experience in the retail/FMCG industry is preferred.
  • Experience in Customer Analytics, Inventory Management, Assortment, or Promotion Pricing Solutions is highly desirable.

Skills and Expertise:


  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (SQL, Python, PySpark) and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of algorithm/modeling techniques like Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Clustering, Decision Trees, Random Forest, SVM, and KNN.
  • Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills, particularly for executive-level communications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing). Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
