About the department
The Global Information Security Advisory department is based in Digital, Data, and IT (DD&IT) in Denmark. You will be part of a global information security community with colleagues located primarily in India, Denmark, and the USA. Our team consists of leading experts in various areas ranging from network security, white hat hacking, cloud security, cryptography, security operations, acquisitions & integrations, to manufacturing security and security risk management and governance. We partner with the line of business across the value chain to build security into the business processes, collaborating with specialists in other areas including Enterprise Architects and Data Specialists. As security partners, we engage with stakeholders to understand their priorities and identify and manage risks.


The position
As a Cyber Security Analyst I at Novo Nordisk, you will be an integral part of the Global Security Operations team, responsible for overseeing and managing IT security across the organization., including analyzing logs and vulnerabilities from systems organization-wide. Handle potential IT security incident notifications from users and regional security responsible parties. Interface with Novo Nordisk by managing emails in the GSO (Global Security Operations) Mailbox. Collaborating with Global Security Operations in EMEA, Americas (NNI) and GBS Mexico. Additionally, the role involves comprehending the challenges within the IT Security domain, ensuring the monitoring and rectification of existing security incidents, and contributing to the Global Information Security team at Novo Nordisk Your other key responsibilities will include:


  • Support the Vulnerability Management Office in the Critical Vulnerability Response process.
  • Collaborate with the GSO Data Analytics team to reduce false positives in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) content. Analyze and handle suspicious emails via the Phish alarm solution.
  • Follow up on IT Security incidents raised during the GSO Daily analysis process. Contribute to process improvements in Security Operations.
  • Interact with GSO teams in Denmark, USA, Mexico, and customers at all organizational levels. Participate in IR (Incident response) drills and adhere to the Major IT Security Incident Response process when required. Analyze and correlate logs fed into the SIEM.
  • Receive and analyze network alerts from various enterprise sources to determine possible causes. 

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with at least 4+ years of experience in 4-5 years of hands-on experience in IT security.
  • At least 3 years of experience in incident response. Proficient with IT security tools, including SIEM (experience with SPLUNK or similar technologies preferred), anti-virus, and network security solutions. Knowledge of enterprise networks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Forensics and threat intelligence is advantageous. Security certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) are a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to learn and grow in the field of IT security.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, including data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
  • Analyze security incidents to determine the root cause, scope, and impact. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage the incident response process effectively.
  • Develop and implement incident response protocols to ensure swift and effective action during security incidents. Continuously monitor and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats.
  • Stay current with evolving security trends and technologies to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
