Job Description


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and improve internal risk review processes, leveraging new data, technologies and philosophies as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with IT capability teams as well as functional partners to review appropriate control measures, procedures and evidence to ensure continuous compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Identify current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Develop and/or implement security tooling and strategies to assist in detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats.
  • Collaborate with Security Architects and IT Capability teams on the design and implementation of protections.
  • Coordinate with internal and external audit functions, manage and reporting GRC and identified risks to various leadership teams.
  • Advises organization management and develops and executes plans for compliance and mitigation of risk.
  • Understand complex technical issues and manage them within a.
  • Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of information security policies, standards, procedures and STIGs.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience


  • Demonstrated expertise across a variety of security domains including Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Threat Detection, Endpoint Protections, and Cloud Compliance
  • The commercial acumen to provide cost-effective and scalable security solutions in a and dynamic global organization
  • An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions
  • That go beyond "tech talk" – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
  • To security leadership about threats and vulnerabilities in the context of business risk and mitigation strategies
  • Risk management focus is essential – the ability to consider a complex array of information, including prediction of future events, to make risk-based decisions or recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing requirements and interests, keep team focused on top priorities, and find ways to achieve win-win or obtain acceptance/consensus for best compromise

Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience within Information Security, in a highly regulated business, with proven ability to manage conflict, provide leadership, organize, and make decisions.


  • CERA, CRISC certification or similar
  • Ability to use best practices and lessons learned of external organizations and academic institutions dealing with cyber issues.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, statutes, Presidential Directives, executive branch guidelines, and/or administrative/criminal legal guidelines and procedures.
  • Knowledge of our important business/mission processes.
  • Develop policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with laws, regulations and policies to support organizational cyber activities.
  • Knowledge of strategic theory and practice.
  • Knowledge of new technologies that have potential for exploitation.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging cyber technologies
