Customer Relations Manager

In FLSmidth’ s Cement Aftermarket team you will enter a department where you and your colleagues’ function as our customers’ daily business partner to provide the right spare parts and best services. You will be working in our office in Chennai, India.


You make the customers happy


Your overall task is to coordinate the proposal work and order execution together with our Proposal Engineers in India, Technical Departments as well as procurement and shipping functions. To ensure our customers’ satisfaction, you will be in daily contact with the customers, just as you liaise with our Sales Managers and Technical support team.

  • Build good relations with customers and colleagues overseas
  • Have a commercial mindset and be service oriented
  • Communicate, handle and organize parts and service cases within the organization
  • High level communication with the customer
  • Have an open minded to change
  • Manage large proposals and orders as well as minor proposals and orders
  • Collect and managing overdue payments
  • Self-driven and can take responsibility for your own decisions and mistakes  
  • Is not afraid of failing and learn from your mistakes
  • Translate customer requirements into proposals and orders
  • Contribute to cross-team knowledge’s sharing of best practices
  • Follow up on open proposals

Further to the above, you will also be involved in streamlining our business by utilizing some of our IT tools like Sharepoint and Office 365 programs like Teams, PowerApps, PowerBi etc.


Commercial mindset and solid technical know-how


You are a Global Business Engineer or have a comparable background. Your previous career has provided you with experience within the cross field of technical sales and customer relations. As such, you are used to foreseeing and solving potential problems. You are proactive and have a structured approach to your tasks, enabling you to handle several cases at a time. Colleagues know you as a person with a positive attitude, who can deliver in time although the pace is high. Moreover, you have a cross-cultural understanding and can communicate with people of different nationalities and professional backgrounds.


As mentioned you will also be involved in optimizing and streamlining our business via IT tools, hence it will be beneficial if you have experience with Sharepoint and/or the Office 365 package.
