About the Role:
As a Customer Manager based in Mumbai, your role is aligned to Univation Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow. You will be responsible for revenue growth and customer experience for medium to large-sized customers, including new business development, sales tools and analytics utilization, technical knowledge and relationship management. The role will be aligned geographically, focused on catalyst and licensing services within the business and involves a high degree of collaboration, communication and cooperation. The candidate will manage and develop close relationships in the commercial and technical arenas at the customer and will have to coordinate strategy development and implementation.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Manages account portfolio and prepares and implements sales plans.
- Leads and coordinates customer relationships working to understand customer needs and identify potential new clients.
- Input information in CRM system and provide required documentation aligned to the Dow sales processes.
- Manages Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.
- Develops and executes sales and marketing plans delivering business goals of volume and value.
- Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
- Leads and conducts negotiations and implements price changes and strategies.
- Collaborates with other functions and stakeholders to deliver customer experience results.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or technology discipline. Master's degree in business is desired.
- Fluency in English and Hindi, with superior written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with people whose first language is not English.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical/sales/commercial related positions. Global sales experience is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in global PE industry.
Preferred Skills
- Technical knowledge of UNIPOLTM PE technology and related PE industry
- Self-starter, highly motivated
- Organized and able to successfully prioritize
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong collaboration skills, including working cross-functionally
- Knowledge of basic financial acumen
- Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial proposals and contracts
Additional Information
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate interactions with Univation colleagues based in other regions. Travel during weekends and off-hours may be required due to long travel times to meet with customers.
- In country travel required, with possibility for occasional international travel. Travel is estimated at a minimum of 10%, with peaks as much as 25% on a monthly basis. Average travel for the year is 10-25%.
- Relocation is not supported for this role
