We are looking for an innovative and results-oriented Vice President of Automation to lead our automation initiatives within the IT infrastructure and vendor management domains. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the performance of our IT operations through strategic automation.


Key Responsibilities:


Automation Strategy Development:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for IT infrastructure and vendor management.
  • Align automation initiatives with organizational goals and technology roadmaps.
  • Identify key areas for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.

Process Analysis and Optimization:


  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing IT infrastructure and vendor management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline operations.

Technology Implementation:


  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies.
  • Lead the implementation of automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of automation scripts and bots.

Vendor Management:


  • Collaborate with vendors to leverage automation technologies and solutions.
  • Ensure vendors comply with automation standards and best practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships to optimize automation initiatives and performance.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of automation initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of automated processes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on automation outcomes and improvements to senior leadership.

Risk Management:


  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with automation projects.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues or failures in automated processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:


  • Lead and mentor a team of automation specialists and IT professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:


  • Work closely with IT, finance, and business teams to align automation efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate automation strategies and results to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain support for automation initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT automation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of successfully implementing automation solutions in a large organization.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in automation tools and technologies (e.g., RPA, AI/ML, scripting languages).
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
    • Familiarity with vendor management practices and tools.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or similar are a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing complex partner relationships and driving performance improvements.

Core/Must have skills


15 years of experience in the IT industry


Having lead Vendor Management and Service Engagement in large contracts


Good understanding of ITIL and DevOps practices


Experience in one or more areas of Infrastructure and Application Services & Technologies


SRE skills and experience mandatory


Good to have skills


In depth experience in Networks, Datacenters, End User Technologies


Work Schedule


Or premises/ Hybrid as required by organization
