Job Title: CTO EngineerDivision: MineralsLocation: BangaloreHybridPurpose of Role:The role of CTO Engineer is to support Configure to Order project (CTO) by rationalizing the product options and developing modular BoM for all of the Weir products. This role require knowledge on product engineering, concept of Product configuration, BOM management, PLM & CAD expertise and business knowledge. We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities: Understand the product data, specifications, engineering rulesAnalyze as Sold BOMs, work with multiple regional teams to standardize and create global BOM with option to contextualize for each regionRe-design or support the redesign of existing product lines to improve modularity and suitability for CTO implementationUnderstand Sales BOM, EBOM, MBOMUnderstand the different pricing methodologies, discounting methodologiesClosely working with different productline engineers to build and support modular BOMs/CPQ data model with configuration structure, product rules, pricing and discountingResponsible for completeness and correctness of modular BOMs/CPQ data model with all respects with the input from engineering teamDevelop Rules, configurations, alternativesExecute projects as per defined quality, OTD & Schedule.Reviewing the Standard operating procedure of Projects and exploring possibilities of automation.Ability to communicate/report/document technical information with project team and customerSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Must have Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or related discipline with at least 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have 2 to 3 years experience in CTO (Configure to Order) implementation in custom or industry-standard applications.Must have proven history of designing and maintaining engineering for complex product in ETO and CTO environment.Must have Technical knowledge of product structure and processes, understanding of eBOM, MBoM, PBoMShould have exposure to manufacturing requirementsShould have good working knowledge on TeamCenter PLM,  NX CAD tool, SAPPreferable to be conversant with all modules of NX 11 and TeamCenterPreferable to have good knowledge in Mining industry Products like pump, cyclone, Crusher, screens etcPreferable to have experience in configurator tools like Tacton, Epicor, Conga or similarPreferable to have understanding of ordering process such as CTO, ETO and DTOShould be able to coordinate with other teams throughout the global organization,Preferable to have Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, technical acumen, excellent communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideasPreferable to have Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skillsFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
