This role will be responsible for coordinating timely collection of ESG data from various functions, reviewing the information, managing audit procedures, and ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements under CSRD, local ESG laws and regulations. This role needs to be proactively engaged to interpret and apply changes in CSRD regulations or other applicable local ESG laws and regulations.
What will you be doing?
The Reporting Specialist will work closely with GHO Finance team, Vice President ESG and SVP Finance Group Controller.
Ensure information provided by data owners is of high quality, has appropriate supporting evidence and in compliance with S+N’s CSRD reporting framework
Proactively follow-up with data owners for any data gaps, deficiencies or delays in information.
Undertake analysis to understand trends, identify any discrepancies or outliers.
Support the implementation of any system to collect and report ESG data.
Support the standardisation, simplification and optimization of underlying processes across ESG reporting, with the aim to lower cost, improve service and reduce compliance risk.
Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the ESG team, Group Finance and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various functions.
Maintain a critical metric dashboard and provide periodic progress updates to partners.
Handle requests from external and internal auditors.
Providing ad-hoc support to the CSRD Lead and Group Finance.
What will you need to be Successful?
Bachelor or "Master’s Degree or equivalent experience" in a Business, Finance, Accounting or Sustainability
Certification in any Sustainability or ESG related subjects.
Prior experience of ESG/Sustainability reporting in a large / listed entity.
Experience of systems such as SAP / Hyperion / Cognos / ServiceNow.
5+ years working in either in global accounting practice or in industry.
Practical application of finance skills within a multinational company, preferably with experience of the month-end reporting and control frameworks.
Experience of analyzing data, drawing sound conclusions and developing solutions.
Demonstrated ability to inspire change and establish new processes and procedures.
Advanced Excel and can use MS Office suite of tools.
Must be fluent in English.
