Your Role and Responsibilities
  • As an IBM CSR Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, driving work that has strategic impact. In addition to your work assignments, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you’ll get to touch a variety of areas within CSR. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.
  • Intern assignments can span all areas of CSR, including education, skilling, volunteering sustainability, and more. Some examples of intern projects include:
  • Creating a Volunteering Mechanism Analysis: Delve into the existing volunteering framework at IBM and providing actionable insights that can amplify IBM Impact internally.
  • Campaign Development: Conceptualize and design a comprehensive campaign to motivate IBM employees to document their volunteering efforts.
  • Secondary Research towards building a pipeline of colleges for engagement for the Academia program.
  • Create template for project management of multiple institutions for monitoring and reporting.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University
  • Passionate about Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with experience in campaign development and digital marketing.
  • Keen interest in corporate service responsibility and social impact initiatives.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Basic knowledge of marketing, communications, social media, demand strategy, brand and content marketing, field or account marketing, or related area
  • Basic knowledge of problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic market research skills
  • A strategic, consultative, data-driven mindset
