Job Description

A Creative Director with a strong background in arts. This role is a mix of art creation, strategic thinking and creative ideation. The candidate will be a part of a passionate Creative Marketing team working across multiple content marketing titles across languages and geographies. It is important that the candidate is able to visualise a world of the show (key arts and trailers) from the episode scripts, is comfortable briefing creative agencies and can drive a creative vision with conviction. This role will work closely with diverse internal functions including content marketing, brand, PR, social and digital teams.
Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities include:
1. Visualising the marketing world of the show in key arts (posters), trailers, teasers and ideas.
2. Writing clear design briefs, driving heavy visual referencing, crafting multiple creative options
3. Creating a creative development suite with sketches, colour pallete, treatment notes and aligning that with key internal stakeholders and creators
4. High degree of command and comfort in conducting photoshoots and managing A-list talent
5. Is open to feedback and able to work with multiple stakeholders with diverse POVs on ambiguous and subjective areas.
6. Is able to switch tracks easily and work on multiple projects at the same time. Can easily toggle creative thinking between genres of Crime thriller, comedy, drama and so on.
A day in the life
A day in the life of a creative director includes:
1. Reading scripts or watching network cuts of upcoming Prime content.
2. Forming early creative briefs and ideation pegs.
3. Understanding a complex production and post-production schedule to identify opportunities to create marketing content
4. Leading title brainstorms, setting the creative agenda and evaluating creative outputs from agencies
5. Understanding business problems/ strategic pivots and driving agile creative solutions
6. Managing budgets on the projects owned and drafting clear work back plans to deliver results.
About the team
The Creative Marketing team at Prime Video India is responsible for all customer facing marketing assets. These include Key Arts, Trailers and Promos for all titles on Prime Video. This team is a passionate group of creative thinkers who love to crack the next clutter breaking idea for content marketing and have done so for IPs like Mirzapur, Paatal Lok, The Family Man, Panchayat, Paatal Lok and more. Everyone in the team comes from a rich background of creative wins and loves throwing themselves at a complicated business problem that requires out of the box thinking.
- 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
- Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
