Reporting to the Senior Controls Testing Manager, the Controls Testing Manager (“Manager”) will drive the testing methodology, including the risk assessment, planning, and execution of assurance activities over critical key controls across the Experian global business. This role will focus on assurance activities over resiliency material and critical controls testing, with the potential to move into other operational risk domains.


The Manager will be responsible for developing and executing control testing plans, and for communicating, agreeing upon, and monitoring gaps in controls in line with Experian risk management processes. This will be done in collaboration with other assurance functions across the first, second, and third lines of defence. They will manage a team of controls testing leads and analysts to ensure efficient and effective use of testing resources across the planned tests, collaborating with the analytics team to increase automation of testing wherever possible.


Responsibilities


·       Identify and prioritise testing activities as part of the assurance planning process.


·       Manage the planning and execution of control tests, including coordinating with key stakeholders, overseeing the activities of control testing leads and analysts (both local and overseas), and reviewing the quality of work performed.


·       Prepare draft reports reflecting the results of work performed, agree on findings and proposed actions with business owners, and present findings to senior managers and relevant risk management forums.


·       Work with the Data Analytics team to identify opportunities to use high-quality data analytics within testing teams during planning, fieldwork, and reporting.


·       Ensure the testing team complies with the assurance methodology.


·       Develop and maintain the risk universe to support the identification and prioritisation of testing and reporting of results and coverage.


·       Lead the development and implementation of the testing methodology, including risk assessment, planning, and execution of assurance activities over critical key controls.


  • Provides feedback to the design and implementation teams on any learnings identified as part of control testing.

  • • Educated to degree level • 7+ years’ experience in information security controls assurance or IT audit (Big 4’ and/or internal audit experience desirable) • An understanding of IT systems and operation • Experienced performing controls testing • Experience of data analytics or continuous monitoring • Experience in working in a multinational environment • Proactive, self-motivated, and resilient working in a fast-paced in a global functional team. • Strong communication and presentation skills, including excellent written and spoken English • Broad knowledge of compliance regulation, controls, and an in-depth understanding of risks, assessment methodologies and assurance activities. • Skilled at stakeholder management with the ability to work closely with multiple internal stakeholders at varying levels within the organization.
