As a Controllers Analyst in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be primarily responsible for gathering, interpreting, and managing reporting requirements for external regulatory reports. The position is an individual contributor and will be responsible for the relationship with line of business partners to understand and document requirements for external information. You will interact with the line of business requester, the applicable operational representatives and various project team members (Data Stewards, MIS and IT) in order to create and analyze external reports.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Document detailed requirements and interpret them accurately.
  • Conduct data research to triage issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to fix data defects.
  • Perform deep dive analysis of the data to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify data issues and improve data quality for CCAR files.
  • Document any gaps and ensure proper escalation and communication of severity levels to management.
  • Engage with business partners and IT groups to identify solutions.
  • Partner with the Project Manager and report owner(s) to communicate and remediate any issues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :


  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of management
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including ability to create concise and effective requirements documents and communication materials for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo 
  • Result-oriented, with a track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative including setting and achieving challenging goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point (required)
  • Proficient in SQL (Toad Oracle, Teradata) with strong focus on data retrieval from multiple databases

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • Regulatory Reporting experience preferred
