Department: - Digital Business Services (DBS) Chief Control Office (CCO) Testing Team’s primary objective is to perform centralized control testing, independent of Control Owners, across the Bank’s Global Businesses and Functions (GB/GFs). This job profile provides an overview of the DBS Technology Control Testing Senior Manager role and is not intended to exhaustively describe the job. The purpose of the DBS Technology Control Testing Senior Manager is to supervise a team of Technology Control Testers to ensure successful delivery of controls testing within the First Line DBS Technology Function. Understanding of technology controls and prior experience of leading control testing teams are essential as this role supports the execution of the CCO DBS Testing Methodology. The role involves overseeing the Control Testing team, coaching and providing guidance to Control Testers.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of DBS Control Testing Senior Manager
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of technology control testing professionals, overseeing and driving completion of control testing assignments to support operational, conduct and regulatory risk and control management.
- Effectively delegating work across the team to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner and to the required technical standards.
- Ensure quality is embedded into the control testing deliverables through effective oversight of the control testing team whilst ensuring compliance with the CCO Control Testing Methodology.
- Participate in the professional development of the testing team through effective coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Apply judgment in relation to the identification and publication of control testing findings including key risks and issues.
- Partner with IT management to discuss, agree and assess control issues identified through testing activities.
- Support the preparation of testing reports to inform key stakeholders of the outcome of testing.
- Provide expertise and guidance on control testing across CCO to build rapport across the business.
- Establish effective working relationship with the Leadership team and Technology CCO teams.
- Build ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with internal stakeholders through maintaining a network of Control Owners and Control Operators for the key Technology controls and partnering with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence (LOD) including Operational Risk, ISR, Internal Audit etc. on coverage of Technology controls testing.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply, specifically to Internal Controls and any supporting policies and procedures.
