Control Services Team LeaderJob Profile Summary: Supports a team of Controls Specialists to ensure that processes and transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, drives improvement and transformation activities of control operation for the benefit of partners.Key ResponsibilitiesControl Operations and Audit ManagementLeads a team of control specialists, defining team operation standards and ensuring procedures are followed.Ensure timely and accurate completion of control operations (Key and Non-Key).Implements and maintains procedures across different controls operated by the control services team on behalf of different functions of LSEG.Leads the status of control related activities and identifies inconsistencies.Ensure that preparation, outputs, and follow-up for audits are carried out to the required standard as determined by relevant internal parties. Lead process walkthroughs to external auditors.Leads or assists the onboarding new controls, designing and ensuring seamless operation.Prepares vital reports on teams monthly/quarterly performance on control operations (critical metrics).People and Performance ManagementSets goals with established business objectives; uses time and people effectively to meet business plans.Evaluates/reviews team and individual performance regularly, provide feedback, provides recommendations for yearend rating and annual appraisal.Drives employee engagement and development of the team.Forecasts resource needs and allocate budget. Handles resource hiring and onboarding.Design, implement, and maintenance of competency framework.Identify and define training and development needs of team members and develop approach to act on identified needs.Drive projects, initiatives that supports team/functional objectivesLeads projects which will support functional objectives. Champions process improvements initiatives to current practices.Makes recommendations that may shape operational strategy.Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational problems of a moderately complex nature.Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan.Partner ManagementNetwork and build transparency with other partners about controls for driving compliance and risk culture.Works with various partners to ensure control services team goals, critical metrics and SLAs are met.Risk and Compliance ManagementIdentify/forecast emerging/current risks (controls and people related), recommend, and implement mitigation strategy.Works with colleague to develop and implement processes and procedures to assure compliance, improve efficiency and ensure risk is managed appropriately.Learn underlying process for the control operated in the team and assist the team members in resolving the control operation related queries and enhance their knowledge.Ensures adherence to reporting and regulatory requirements.Adapts traditional approaches to enhance existing procedures to resolve issues.Develop understanding and help implement LSEG Control framework and related policies and standards.Relationship with control owners:Partner with control owners to ensure Control operation and monitoring. Providing regular updates on control operation status.Relationship with 1st LOD and 2LODPartner with the 1st LOD and 2 LOD Risk to ensure the operation of Internal controls owned by CST/respective business/functions with accuracy and within defined timelines.Partner with 2LOD risk to ensure alignment of the Control Services processes with Group Risk standards.Relationship with 3LOD Internal Audit:Partner with 3LOD Audit to provide the level of visibility.Qualifications/RequirementsCandidate with 6-10 years’ experience in Operations background (order Management/AP/AR experience/BSR) will be preferred. Profiles with understanding of Internal control design and operation background will be an added advantage.Any bachelor’s degree with proven experience and skills.Demonstrated ability in supervisory role/or has undergone people leadership preparatory training such as coaching, conflict management, performance management, and capacity analysis.Intermediate understanding of relationship between functions within the company.Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements, and business requirements.Experience in resolving wide range of issues.High attention to detail and quality.Excellent oral and written communications skills with proven ability to clearly articulate issues.Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Planning and interpersonal skills.Ability to multi-task.Proven track record to make sound business decisions and achieve results.Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all stakeholders.Advance skills in Microsoft office tools, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Resourceful, able to quickly develop a working knowledge of core business processes.Knowledge and minimum experience on project management.Knowledge on process improvements/basic lean practicesOperational risks management skills.Change management skills.LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
