As a Control Manager Associate within our risk management team, you will lead the development of an improved control framework that promotes a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Your role will also involve ensuring that the team aids in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
 


Job responsibilities:


  • Support proactive Employee Compliance risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Participate in the assessment of policy changes and legal obligation impacts to the CCB business in partnership with stakeholders 
  • Compile documents for CCB/AWM Lessons Learned and Human Resource Controls Forum
  • Organize resources for end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
  • Engage with control colleagues across CCB business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required, qualifications, skills and capabilities:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred, qualifications, skills and capabilities: 


  • Project management experience preferred
  • Procedure writing
  • Networking - Exceptional relationship building skills, including collaboration and the ability to influence stakeholders in a meaningful and actionable manner
  • Communication / Presentation - excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Problem solving / analytical skills - solid critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills necessary
