This is an individual contributor role and will report into the centralized controls management Sr. Associate for Commercial Banking. Primary responsibility is to perform control design and performance evaluations. The role will partner closely with other stake holders (e.g., LOB Control Teams, Business Owners, Compliance Officers and Operational Risk Managers) within the business to ensure comprehensive view of the controls environment.
Job Responsibilities
- In partnership with stakeholders, evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business’ risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks
- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
- Perform ongoing analysis of program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI), assist with development of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentations through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders (within CCMO as well as to Functional Control Managers, Business Leads) on the Control Evaluation Results as well as analysis around failure themes
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required
- Master’s Degree / Professional Degree (CA/CPA) preferred
- SOX, CCAP, FDICIA & US Tier 1C testing experience preferred
- 7-10 years of Financial Service Industry experience with exposure in Risk & Controls evaluation, Quality Assurance, Compliance or Audit preferred
