Role and Responsibilities:


• Design and Development:


o Lead the design and development of control systems and instrumentation for power plant projects. (Instrument List, IO List, Cable Schedule, etc)


o Create control schemes, logic diagrams, and instrumentation layouts in line with project specifications.


o Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


• Project Management:


o Oversee the entire control and instrumentation project lifecycle, from initial concept to final completion.


o Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure integration and seamless project execution.


o Track project progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.


• Vendor Management:


o Evaluate and vet vendor offers and technical drawings for control and instrumentation equipment.


o Review and approve vendor specifications to ensure they meet project requirements.


o Engage in technical discussions and negotiate with vendors to ensure alignment with project goals.


• Documentation and Reporting:


o Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation including engineering specifications, datasheets, and test procedures.


o Keep accurate records of all project modifications and updates.


o Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • 6-8 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, specifically within the power plant industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in control system design and instrumentation, with experience in DCS, PLC,
  • SCADA, and other control systems.
    • Familiarity with power plant engineering principles and operations.
    • Thorough knowledge of relevant industry standards such as IEC, ISA, and NFPA.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in control systems or instrumentation engineering.
  • Experience with advanced control and automation techniques.
