With our competence in Power Converter technology, we have a leading position in the development of solutions for Utility STATCOM's, Rail Power Supply Converters as well for static frequency converters for industrial applications. We have also built the world’s largest drive for a hydro pump station. To strengthen this motivated team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Control design Engineer with high interest in power electronics and control technology. As the system being continuously evolving, becoming more complex and customised, great deal of test & verification are required. Thus the job description would be as given below: You will be responsible for planning of control and protection systems for power electronic converter projects. - This includes the specification, programming and documentation of the control software as well as the fabrication and test documentation for the hardware. - You will specify auxiliary components and define technical requirements and interfaces with sub suppliers - We rely on your expertise when it comes to software design with 800xA Compact Control Builder and Matlab / Simulink, Python expertise. - Simulations of converter behaviour during grid disturbance. - It will be on you to verify your software on the real-time simulator as well as in the project hardware. - Besides bringing the software into service, you will operate specialist support for the service group as well as for the customer - You will also perform commissioning support and customer training on site - During the whole project phase, you will handle the technical documentation of your work Your knowledge and skill set should match with the below mentioned requirement. B.E Electrical & Electronics Engineer or M.Tech in Power systems or Power Electronics with sound experience in process control and software design (including 800xA Control Builder) - Very good knowledge in the field of control engineering and power electronics - Excellent fluency in English and/or German. - You have a quick perception as well as an independent, structured, and proactive work style - You are a team player with strong communication skills - You are a fast learner for new techniques/applications and procedures - You like to work in multicultural / international environment - Should be willing to travel to sites in India and Abroad at short notice for support work.
