Job Summary:


Altus Group is actively seeking a Contracts Manager to become a vital part of our Global Legal Team. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing a high volume of commercial contracts, specifically supporting our Analytics Business Unit. This position is based in our Hyderabad, India office, offering an excellent opportunity to collaborate with global teams and make a meaningful impact on our analytics business operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support updates to the Legal team's processes and procedures including contract playbooks, contract lifecycle management systems, and other procedures
  • Review, analyze, and provide insights on non-standard contract terms in line with playbooks
  • Develop and maintain contract management tools, templates, and related documentation
  • Manage CLM system content, including the input of data, contracts, and report generation
  • Be accountable for agreement terms and determine when it is necessary to escalate issues to internal support resources
  • Oversee the execution of finalized customer contracts, ensuring timely and accurate hand-offs to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with reporting on contract terms and team performance
  • As needed, draft, review, and negotiate standard contracts for Altus Group’s Analytics business
  • Ensure contracts are consistent with business and category strategy objectives, compliant with corporate and legal requirements
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed

Key Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of experience negotiating standard agreements and/or managing contracting processes, with experience gained in-house or at a reputable law firm
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels
  • Proven experience supporting a fast-paced sales or business development environment, adept at prioritizing and managing multiple projects to drive deals to closure
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, pragmatic guidance.
  • Experience with commercial contracts lifecycle management platforms like Ironclad
  • High ethical standards, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while meeting tight deadlines
  • Undergraduate law degree required
