Job Summary
Northern Trust is looking to recruit professionals for its Bangalore Centre. Successful recruit would be part of Northern Trust’s Corporate Risk Management. This is a highly visible role, to work on key regulatory projects across Credit, Counterparty with frequent interaction with business partners across the globe
Job title: Consultant
Location: Bangalore/Pune
Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience
Major Duties
• Drive end to end execution of the RWA and SCCL monthly/quarterly production process including identification and implementation of adjustments.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and present to the Working groups and senior management and make changes as needed
• Support in daily/ weekly/ monthly/quarterly production of key credit risk reports and metrics, limits and risk appetite.
• Perform various high value analysis, draw insights and trends from data and recommend portfolio and product view to senior management
• Support in internal transformation projects impacting different products including requirement definition, requirement implementation and end to end testing.
• Work closely with oversight risk committees presenting explanations for issues identified through the analysis.
• Contribute and own committee tasks – working with stakeholders to create the meeting materials, action logs, overall owner for the committee material etc.
• Facilitate and Support strong controls over data, reports, and analysis, including automation, reconciliation and testing.
• Perform documentation, procedures & controls to enable accurate and timely reporting.
• Understanding of with risk related concepts, business processes, and must be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication with senior management and other partners.
Qualification
• MBA and relevant industry experience
Skills Required
• 6+ years of experience in risk management
• Very strong understanding and hands-on experience and operating within first or second line of defense for Credit and Counterparty.
• Strong understanding of at-least one to two regulatory areas: RWA, SCCL, Stress Testing and involved in the production and regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial products like loans, securities, derivatives, repo style transactions etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success challenging and influencing outcomes
• Experience with any of the industry products – Adenza, Cognos, Python, Power BI etc.,
• Strong data, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong hands-on experience with advanced excel
