Job Description: Connex Developer


Position Title:Associate Specialist/ Specialist/ Sr Associate


Experience: 5 to 7 years


Location: Bangalore/ Pune


Software Requirements:


  • Technical Expertise:


    • Proficiency in TAL/pTAL, TACL, Guardian, and COBOL.
    • Strong understanding of SQL/MX and Enscribe database.
    • Experience with Pathways and HPE Nonstop development standards.
  • Connex System Knowledge:


    • In-depth knowledge of Connex system architecture and components, including AP, TH, PI, and SDX.
    • Familiarity with AS2805 and ISO standards, as well as message formats.
  • Payment Systems:


    • Understanding of scheme regulations and procedures for VISA, MasterCard, and EFTPOS.
  • Simulation Experience:


    • Experience with MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM simulators.

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Connex solutions in alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions across the Connex platform.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Connex-related issues.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of Connex enhancements and new features.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development.

Category-wise Technical Skills:


Programming Languages:


  • Expertise in TAL/pTAL, TACL, and COBOL programming.

Database Management:


  • Proficiency in SQL/MX and Enscribe, with experience in data modeling and query optimization.

Connex Architecture:


  • Strong understanding of Connex components (AP, TH, PI, SDX) and their interrelationships.

Standards Compliance:


  • Knowledge of AS2805 and ISO standards; familiarity with payment processing regulations.

Simulation Tools:


  • Experience with payment simulators such as MasterCard, VISA, and FINSIM.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software development, specifically with Connex solutions and HPE Nonstop systems.
  • Track record of successful project implementation in a financial services or payment processing environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and design Connex solutions.
  • Write, test, and deploy code for new features and enhancements.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Connex applications.
  • Document technical specifications and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:


  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Soft Skills:


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
