We are looking for Configuration and Change Management Professional


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that configurations of Components, Cars, and Trains are properly documented, approved, and implemented. This role requires working closely with various stakeholders, including designers, technicians, and project managers, to establish and guarantee comprehensive serialization, configuration, and change processes throughout the entire value chain.


In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing the configuration and change process for our products. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and prioritizing change requirements based on feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, and project impact. Working closely with stakeholders, you will make informed decisions that contribute to the success of our projects. Therefore, you will also be responsible for properly documenting the change process, creating change requests, and documenting decisions and approvals. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that all changes are recorded accurately and transparently.


Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating serialization tools into our manufacturing process, tracking and tracing products from production through commissioning and operation. You will play a crucial role in establishing protocols for verification and authentication of serialized products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.


You’ll make a difference by


Implementing serial numbers for products at different stages of production


  • Integrating serialization technology into manufacturing processes.
  • Tracking and tracing products from production through commissioning and operation.
  • Ensuring data integrity and security throughout the serialization process.
  • Establishing protocols for verification and authentication of serialized products.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for serialization.
  • Training personnel involved in serialization processes.
  • Monitoring and auditing serialization activities for compliance and effectiveness.

Evaluation and formal review of change requests


  • Obtaining of all effort estimations of the interfaces concerned (costs, hours, etc.).
  • Evaluating and prioritizing change requirements based on feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, and project impact.
  • Preparation for decisions of the Change Control Boards (CCB) under participation of the responsible department in case of valuable change requests.

Approval of modification request


  • Coordination and moderation of Change Control Board Meetings (CCB).
  • Recording of change release and cost estimation.
  • Approval/rejection of audited modification requests

Formal review and release of change master record


  • Monitoring of EN deadlines.
  • Review of a possible status change of the change request when creating or releasing the change master record.
  • Completion/ release of change master record and handover to subsequent interface partner.

Support for the implementation of changes


  • Initiation of project planning processes (scheduling, capacity planning, material planning, etc.) with the relevant interface partners.
  • Planning of target configurations for each train delivered, commissioned and in operation.
  • Planning change implementation in alignment with project milestones, involving relevant stakeholders along the value chain, (e.g. packaging, versioning, etc.).
  • Progress controlling
  • Forward related information to effected internal partners, like Documentation Management, Configuration Management, Homologation Manager, Safety Manager, Claim Management, Commissioning and QM.
  • POPS support (if necessary, project manager) in the process coordination with the customer regarding releases and retrofitting of open changes to the customer vehicles.

Desired Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, etc.). with 5-8 years of experience
  • Proven experience in Configuration Management, Change Management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of serialization processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize change requests based on feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, and project impact.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and globally organized teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
