About the Role:


Adobe's Genuine Engineering team is looking for a skilled C++ Development Engineer to join our versatile group and play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the unified library embedded within Adobe desktop products on Windows and macOS platforms. Our team is at the forefront of combating piracy of Adobe applications and services, as well as detecting and preventing fraudulent activities. Your technical expertise and innovative attitude will help protect Adobe’s intellectual property and ensure the integrity of our products and services.
 


What You'll Do:


  • Collaborate with a team of highly motivated and skilled engineers to deliver exceptional results.
  • Design, develop, and maintain features in the GoCart or product hardening library, contributing to Genuine’s team growth.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and creating unit and automation test cases.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Continuously improve existing features by identifying and addressing gaps in the system.
  • Act as a proactive self-starter, employing innovative methods and techniques to achieve team goals.
  • Serve as a guide on one or more platforms, understanding cross-platform challenges and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and application of advanced concepts, technologies, and expertise within the team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
     

What You Need to Succeed:


  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional Experience: 4+ years of hands-on design and development experience.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in modern C++ and object-oriented programming.
    • Deep experience with debugging, profiling, and writing highly performant native code for platforms like macOS and Windows.
    • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, architecture, design, and performance optimization.
    • Familiarity with building features for large-scale applications.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
