JOB TITLE: COMPLETIONS AND WELL TEST ENGINEER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Completion and Well Test Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of well completion programs in horizontal multi–staged hydraulic fracturing operations via plug & perf, or ball drop for the HPHT Shale gas formations. This includes designing advanced completion systems, overseeing multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, ensuring well integrity under HPHT conditions, and integrating well testing strategies to optimize reservoir performance and long-term productivity.Additionally, the role involves the design, selection, and installation of artificial lift systems (i.e. ESPs) in both water supply wells and unconventional reservoirs, ensuring optimized fluid handling and enhanced production. This role requires close collaboration with subsurface, drilling, fracturing, well testing, and production teams to develop efficient, cost-effective, and safe completion solutions tailored for the extreme challenges of HPHT and ultra-low permeability reservoirs.

·Develop optimized completion strategies for unconventional HPHT shale gas reservoirs, ensuring effective zonal isolation, well integrity, and long-term production sustainability.

·Design and implement multi-stage hydraulic fracturing completions, including plug-and-perf, ball-drop sliding sleeve completions for horizontal wells.

·Design and install artificial lift systems (i.e., ESPs) for both frac water supply and unconventional production wells to optimize fluid handling and maximize recovery.

·Design technical completions programs / step by step procedures, CWOP’s and lookbacks to achieve specified well objectives safely and efficiently. Generate cost estimates and AFEs associated with planned work scopes

·Design and oversee well testing programs, including post frac flow back, extended flowback and pressure build-up (PBU) tests

·Remain proactive to stay current with industry related fracture stimulation methods, and technical advancement as they pertain to the asset base

·Lead HAZOP and HAZID reviews and completion risk assessments to ensure safe execution

·Prepare required tendering documents for involved services in completion and hydraulic fracturing operations in coordination with the hydraulic fracturing engineer

·Coordinate operations with OSS’s (Onsite Supervisors) on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·BSc in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. MSc in Petroleum Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.

·Minimum 10 years of experience in completion engineering, well testing, and artificial lift design for unconventional and HPHT wells.

·Familiar with Completion & frac modeling (i.e. StimPlan, FracPro, GOHFER) and Artificial lift design & ESP modeling (i.e. PROSPER, AUTOLIFT, SubPUMP)

·Certifications: IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Level 4 (must)
