Job Description

As a Communication Specialist you’ll be responsible for collaborating with colleagues on cross-topics to ensure seamless and relevant communication towards the organization. You’ll develop, create and drive communication related events, meetings, forums and keep the relevant stakeholders informed.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 


Internal Communication:


  1. Set the internal communication strategy and plan, in collaboration with Tech Centers, and in alignment with group and brand (strategy, activities, messages, channels, etc.). 
  2. Execute the internal communication strategy.
  3. Enable transformation and change through relevant, engaging, and efficient change communication.
  4. Be the point of contact for H&M Group and BT Communication teams relating to all central communication matters, to define, prioritize and adapt relevant information to BT Bangalore Tech Location.  
  5. This role reports to the India Head and is closely connected to the BT Comms team to exchange best practices and feedback & development of communications skills. 
  6. The Global Communications team is a close collaborator, and this role takes part in the Global Communications meetings where it makes sense. A lot of information will also come via BT Communications team. 
  7. Set a communications plan & structure and handle daily management of various internal communication channels (SharePoint, Teams, The Circle etc). 
  8. Embed and champion best practices for communications within BT Organization, its leaders, and teams.

Employer Branding:


  1. Implement H&M Business Tech employer branding strategy & recruitment advertising initiatives.
  2. Create, uncover, and articulate personal and inspirational employee stories inspiring H&M brand.
  3. Develop compelling and impactful copy for employer branding campaigns, social media, blogs, newsletters, and internal communication.
  4. Assist in creating captions, hashtags, and storytelling content for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
  5. Collaboration with BT Communications team and Global Employer branding team to ideate and execute designs, videos, and other marketing collaterals.
  6. Contribute ideas for creative campaigns and help in their execution.
  7. Plan, edit, and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, monthly magazine, email bulletin. You may also be required to work on the layout of content.
  8. Develop creative ways to draw prospective employees to the company's website and identify new recruitment opportunities through social media.

To be a successful Communication Specialist we also believe that you have:  


  • 8-12 years’ experience from delivering communications in a matrix organization on a global scale, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex communication challenges.   
  • Hands-on experience in both reactive and proactive communication strategies, including crisis management. Additionally, be capable of integrating long-term critical and strategic thinking into the leadership approach, effectively influencing and inspiring others.  
  • Relevant experience in the tech industry, adept at conveying ideas effectively.  
  • Proven track record of advising senior leadership and are a strong writer and inventive problem-solver.   
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office tools, such as SharePoint, Teams Live, Yammer, etc., enhancing your ability to collaborate and streamline communication processes.  
  • Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.
