Job Description

 Main Duties & Responsibilities – Quality Controller


Monitoring Quality of Arrival, Dispatch (export and Domestic) and Production. (Koppa and outside warehouses) Updating the quality reports for the payments Responsible for the coffee stored at warehouse to retain the quality Sending pre and post shipment samples to the buyers (both international and domestic) Maintaining the track record of Pre and Post shipment samples at Quality lab Allotting the coffee lots for the shipment Cupping incoming and outgoing samples and segregating the lots as per Clients Quality standards. Understanding the buyers Quality requirement and sending the same quality to buyers Interact with traders in demotic, International & Exchange Quality. Food Safety Management at Warehouse. Responsible for Mill Production Quality, Updating the outtun report to the team and updating in XBS. Responsible for batch outturn and P&L Working on storage loss or gain and reporting. Sharing Weekly and Monthly report to Regional Quality & Food Safety Manager. Coordinate with the external warehouse team in arrival, dispatch, and Storage of coffee. Involve with commercial team to buy and sell specialty coffees and low grades. Train and train new employees for the correct performance of activities; Evaluate the performance of the team, through constant follow-ups, correcting deviations and providing feedback whenever necessary; Creation of stocklots for sale of "unused" coffees. Monitoring of approvals / rejections with customers and reading opportunities / adjustments to be made. Participate in the coordination of the warehouses with which we work, changing work orders to be executed and schedules to be fulfilled. Ensure that the quality of coffee released and identified in the system is in accordance with the received; Opening of service orders to warehouses, in order to ensure the quality of the products purchased, with service guides. Carry out any activities in order to stimulate correct attitudes and practices, worrying to the maximum about the safety and health of people, as well as the environment; Ensure that the team has the necessary tools in order to ensure the proper performance of their assignments Actively participate in SHE programs, such as audits and inspections, and seek to build a work environment free of accidents and injuries; Perform other activities inherent to the position according to the request of the immediate superior. Communicate and enforce the Food Quality and Safety policy. Comply with the company's Quality Policy; Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (BPFs); Perform Standard Operating Procedures (POPs);


 Other Skills & competencies /Specific knowledge/ Abilities:


  • Strong knowledge in Coffee Quality
  • Strong understanding on Coffee crop – Arabica & Robusta.
  • Very Good Analytical Mindset.
  • Good People Coordinator and Team Player
  • Basic understanding of Coffee Process & Coffee Warehousing.
  • Good people management skills
  • Good in business communication & presentation.

 Minimum years of experience: 8 plus years in coffee quality management


 Reporting to (Designation): Coffee Commercials.


 Education : Graduates and equivalent.


 Languages skills: Kannada and English
