Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents /requests. Manage rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation.Level of Expertise:Administrator having good exposure in on-premises, AWS and Azure enterprise environment. Expertise in IT Service desk and service management application support skillsHaving scripting skill in POWERSHELL and SQL is value addedOperating the Cloud Infrastructure to the highest standards of professionalism and availability.Performing proactive daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, clones and migrations.Maintaining operational, configuration, and other Standard Operating ProceduresIdentifying and collaborating with appropriate teams to improve monitoring, automation and the general quality of the Cloud service.Work with Technical support or directly with Customer as needed, to understand and troubleshoot their complex, leading-edge, highly virtualized SaaS delivery infrastructure.Work in a fast-paced development environment with global customers and globally distributed development and support resources.Participate in on-call rotation to support 24x7 coverage of our service offering.Specific responsibilitiesThe Cloud OPS Engineering responsible:Work together with other members of the cloud operation team to develop, install, and enhance cloud solutions for clients.Execute troubleshooting and fix any performance problems with the cloud systems.Assure the cloud platform s peak performance and system maintenance.Collaborate with product owners, developers, and support personnel to ensure consistent and dependable service delivery.Document all features of the cloud environment and any ongoing enhancements.Accountable for determining and implementing specific software and cloud technologiesExperience Level:Experience deploying web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux /Unix environments,General understanding of VPC Configuration; Networking, NACL; compliance; security groups, firewalls, NAT and packet filteringProficiency in relevant scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShellKnowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or ChefExpertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesHands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CIProficient in version control systems like GitUnderstanding of cloud-native services and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormationProficiency with Docker and container orchestration tools like KubernetesFamiliarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)Working knowledge of Network Protocols, IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancingKnowledge of security best practices and tools for DevOpsUnderstanding of ITIL process.Familiar with ticketing tool like service now.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently on multiple concurrent projects and meet project deadlines with limited supervisionStrong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teamsEffective communication skills for coordinating with other stakeholdersGood written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staffTypically requires 3-5 years of DevOps-like work or experience in a real time operational roleEducation:Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline (essential)Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar IT related disciplineCertification as an Azure, AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification or other cloud-related certification preferredAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
