Manager/Senior Manager – Cloud Manager

A leading interdisciplinary teaching and research institution is looking for an experienced Cloud Manager to oversee and optimize its AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure. The role involves deployment, security, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery planning to ensure a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environment supporting academic and research initiatives.

• Manage and maintain AWS & Azure cloud environments for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking resources.
• Monitor cloud performance, optimize resource utilization, and implement best practices for security and compliance.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud platforms.
• Automate cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation tools.
• Ensure integration with authentication and authorization services, such as Azure AD, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SSO.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and teaching requirements.

• 6-8+ years of experience managing AWS & Azure cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent AWS services.
• Expertise in incident management, disaster recovery planning, and cloud monitoring solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud automation tools and scripting for infrastructure management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Exposure to system administration and security systems is a plus.
