Position Title:  FullStack Technical Lead Engineer


Area: LRL

Reports To:  Manager


Key Responsibilities:


Front-End


Participates in the estimation of activities, owns technical implementation of the tasks, and responsible for the design, build, and unit integration testing for new and modified features. The Front-end Tech Lead has a keen focus to detail through ensuring the UX direction and design is implemented through code and the user’s experience is fluid on multiple devices.


Leading Front-end team members on their technical delivery.


Experience with:


  • Significant development using modern web application frameworks such as React, Redux, Typescript, Node js and associated plugins and frameworks 
  • Experience with JEST and React Testing libraries
  • JavaScript engineering using NodeJS and integrating with micro-service APIs and Node.js aws-sdk experience
  • Creating cross-browser, global and multi-devices experiences
  • Good knowledge on CSS, CSS in JS libraries and UI component design systems like Material UI
  • Awareness of foundational UX/UI design principles, trends, and tools such as, or similar to Sketch, InVision, or Adobe Creative Suite and experience consuming high-fidelity designs from UX designers
  • Driving data-driven user testing and UX testing
  • Operating in a cloud hosted and DevOps infrastructure Amazon Web Services Environment
  • Developing to consume structured and unstructured content optimized for multiple devices
  • Prior development experience in code defined and CICD pipeline managed projects driven from github and AWS Codepipeline and Codebuild
  • Experience in AI/ML use cases and implementation.

Back-End


Participates in the estimation of activities, owns technical implementation of the user story and responsible for the design, build, and unit integration testing for new/modified features. The Back-end Technical Lead has a keen focus to detail through ensuring the architecture, logic and information needs are implemented through code. Also lead and coach team members.


Experience with:


  • Creating scalable micro-service ecosystems that integrate with multiple platforms, applications and other micro-services at a global scale
  • Experience with some of the following Amazon Web Services:  s3, API Gateway, CloudFront, ECS, Lambda, ec2, SQS, SNS, StepFunctions, Elastic Search
  • Experience leveraging infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar technology such as Terraform.
  • Experience with Git and repository management platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket. Prior experience with developing/managing CICD pipelines using tools like Jenkins/AWS Code Pipeline/ Azure Pipeline etc.
  • Modern security protocols such as OAuth, JSON Web Tokens, Kerberos, TLS/SSL
  • Fluent with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis, PostgreSQL, OData, RDF, RDS Serverless psql, DynamoDB
  • Experience in Agile me

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
    • Experience delivering systems with multiple points of integration with other technologies or applications
    • Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
    • Broad IT Skills

Additional Skills/Preferences:


  • Experience working within the life sciences and pharmaceuticals industry 
  • Experience with the following AWS services: S3, S3 Web Hosting, Cloudfront, Fargate, Lambda, Elasticsearch, Glue, Neptune, Cloudwatch, and Cloudtrail, among others.
  • RxJS, Angular Js, Vue js and Typescript with associated frameworks such as Express
  • Python
  • Experience with GitHub actions, creating GitHub workflows and GitHub Advance Security
  • JSON/Swagger, Boto3, APIdocs, or other API documentation strategies
  • Experience developing progressive web applications
  • Understanding of health care regulations, international regulations, and privacy controls
  • Building solutions in a cloud hosted and DevOps container-based infrastructure (Amazon AWS) with associated PaaS and monitoring offerings
  • AWS Networking experience and familiarity with subnet and security group designs specific to an enterprise with a direct connect capability to an on-premise network
  • Experience with Contentful or other relevant content infrastructure systems
  • Experience with AWS Amplify
