What you’ll do
  • Cloud Financial Management: Develop and implement financial governance frameworks, cost management policies, and procedures for cloud services.


  • Cost Optimization, Monitoring and Reporting: Identify and execute strategies to optimize cloud costs, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and optimizing storage and data transfer costs.


  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to create accurate cloud budgets and forecasts and provide insights on variances.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cloud engineering, finance, and business teams to understand cloud usage patterns and drive financial accountability. Generate regular reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.




Who you are
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer &, Google Cloud Billing).
  • Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of cloud optimization strategies and tools.
  • Experience in Cloud FinOps / Cloud spend optimization.
  • Experience using AWS Cost Explorer and other Cost Management tools.
  • Experience with cloud economics, AWS services, and AWS pricing models
  • Experience with cloud management platforms or cloud billing systems
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

What's in it for you

The Cloud FinOps Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing financial governance frameworks, cost management policies, and procedures for cloud services. Work closely with cloud engineering, finance, and business teams to understand cloud usage patterns and drive financial accountability.


You will be working on AWS Cost Explorer, Google Cloud Billing, vcloudsmart along with this should be able to write lambda functions to automate the monitoring and control cost leakages.
