Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for implementing the infrastructure solutions for multi-cloud environments. This includes as-is infrastructure implementation for Lift & Shift migrations from on-prem to cloud, re-architectured/modernized solutions for cloud native application and creation/deployments of pipelines for multi-cloud environments based on the recommendation of well-architect frameworks and business requirements.


The successful candidate will combine deep infrastructure knowledge with cloud acumen and work with various business units(BU’s)/application teams within TR in infrastructure implementation and pipeline deployments. The position requires a strong multi-cloud knowledge and automating CI/CD pipelines ensuring that cloud operations engineers are never doing repetitive tasks as they develop and build out infrastructure on the cloud.



As a cloud engineer you will work collaboratively with application teams/BU’s to help deploy and operate their applications on the multi-cloud platform. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Provide solutions and implement infrastructure deployment, monitoring, operations, cost optimization, ensure availability, security, automation, performance, efficiency and scaling. You will use your deep understanding of system availability, architecture, people, systems and processes to continuously improve uptime, performance, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.



About the Role
In this opportunity as Cloud Engineer, you will:


  • Active member of a team of cloud engineers who will be responsible on provisioning public Cloud Native platform and cloud ready infrastructure
  • Collaborate with businesses and application teams to migrate workload from Data Center to Public Cloud platform, build, and optimize Cloud-Native applications
  • Develop scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of cloud resources for Product Engineering teams to accelerate migration to public cloud.
  • Work closely with the services and engineering teams adopting strategies and ensuring common TR Technology standard across all cloud implementations.
  • Continually evolve deployment methods and processes to effectively deliver products in various environments including Production, SAT, QA and Development.
  • Design and document systems, including writing and reviewing code, to automate routine issues and minimize manual tasks.
  • Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends – open source and cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud and AI based learnings
  • Collaborate deeply with multiple levels of technical staff across various geographical locations in a dynamic agile team environment
  • Knowledge on API and App development experience
  • Participate in and occasionally contribute to the work involving the Cloud Capabilities Engineering team and other cloud teams within TR.
  • Contribute to internal technical discussions, peer reviews, interview panel etc.
  • Contribute content via blogs and technical article postings on the internal blogosphere

About You
You're a fit for the role of Cloud Engineer if your background includes:


  • BE in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in DevOps.
  • Experience with Multi-Cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment using Cloud Formation, CDK, and Terraform
  • Experience with core cloud services includes, but not limited to, EC2, S3, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Storage, ALB, Route53, Azure DNS, etc.
  • Experience with Database technologies such as RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgresSQL, and ElastiCache, etc
  • Experience with Multi-Cloud Messaging/Events, Firewall, Security, and Identity/ Access services
  • Experience with Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch, and Azure
  • Experience with Docker and Container services such ECS, Container Instances, Fargate, EKS, AKS and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI\CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, and Github actions
  • Skilled in Software Development Life Cycles, Agile Project Management framework, and Azure DevOps board
  • Experience with Javascript, Python, RESTful API, OpenAPI, different architectural styles (REST, SOAP, RPC), IDE, SDK
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with onsite/remote teams
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Cloud certifications is preferred.
