About the team
In today’s highly competitive payments domain, firms need a top in class payments system that can help them manage their global payments requirements. Our corporate payments team at FIS helps corporates do their payments seamlessly and effortlessly, while they focus on their core businesses.
What you will be doing
- Understanding the big picture and participating in architectural approaches for software design and implementation
- Participating in and or leading POCs for upcoming technologically or functionally complex initiatives on the development roadmaps
- Doing RnD on new/advanced technology concepts and applying them in the product to improve the product and its service offerings further
- Providing high level solution design for roadmap items, coordinating with other product architects and getting the designs reviewed and finalized together with them.
- Providing technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
- Coaching SCRUM teams on Design and Coding best practices, reviewing deliverables where necessary
- Ensuring developed software meets all requirements of quality, performance, scalability etc
- Conducting trainings, brown bags, knowledge sharing sessions for the development community
- Providing solution design guidance on strategic customer first implementations involving heavy product development.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
- Strong technical background on Java technologies and excellent all rounded IT skills
- Hands-on experience with Java full stack development (expert level)
- Knowledge on running containerized microservices on cloud (AWS preferred)
- Good hands-on knowledge of HTML and Angular technologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD and related technologies.
- Microservice architecture, Event Driven architecture, BDD, Kubernetes knowledge is highly preferred
- Familiarity with SAAS implementation and enablement of software is highly preferred
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree or equivalent

- A highly technical mindset with attention to detail
- Self-starter and self-learner, with a team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
- Adept at analyzing and understanding requirements and creating appropriate technical designs
- Ability to independently research technologies/frameworks and tools for new design POCS and apply the most suitable
- Strong problem solving and debugging with excellent analytical skills
- Fluent in English, excellent communicator
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build good partnerships with local and global teams
