As a Client Operations Associate within the KYC Audit & Exam team at J.P. Morgan, you will play a crucial role in leading audits and examinations related to KYC, AML, and regulatory risks across the EMEA region. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with key business and operations teams, compliance, internal audit, external regulators, and senior management to proactively mitigate risk. You will bring your strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence at senior levels, along with a deep understanding of the regulatory and audit environment in financial services.


Job Responsibilities: 


  • Partake in engagements across a range of specialist areas, including AML/KYC, regulatory engagements, internal audits, and issue management.
  • Assist in mitigating and escalating all risks (operational, reputational, financial, regulatory, etc.) that may impact EMEA Client Onboarding.
  • Develop an appropriate risk culture across the Client Onboarding team and key partners.
  • Manage issue resolution through proactive management of action plans, including analysis of solutions, plan proposal, oversight of plan tasks, validation, management of chain of approvals, and closure.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, compliance, control management, business management, product & platform, and technology to fulfill the responsibilities of the risk team in EMEA.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: 


  • You must have a bachelor's degree or above
  • You must have at least 5+ years of experince 
  • Demonstrate experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of AML/KYC and economic sanctions.
  • Experince in controls, audit, operational risk, legal, or compliance.
  • Deliver consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and organizational skills, with a problem-solver mindset.
  • Show enthusiasm, self-motivation, effectiveness under pressure, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Communicate excellently, with the ability to present complex issues to key stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Utilize excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.), PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. Knowledge of Alteryx
