Job Description

As Chief Security Officer, I will support and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the Security Departmentto provideexceptionalserviceswithinSix Sensesbrandoperating standardsand budget. 


The duties and responsibilities will include: 


  • Providewide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control, security best practicesand security programs including strategic planning.
  • Provideguidance regarding "best practice" business security standards, solutions , and guidanceto maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property, and information.
  • Monitorsecurity conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internalsources and advise on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate withall departmentsand external groups to effectively resolve security-related issues. 
  • Maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of securityrequirements.
  • Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education. 
  • Oversee and providedirection for major security-related projects and physical security technologiesincluding but not limited to various card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems,security services and data security systems, and various other related systems.
  • Responsible for inspectingand securing the resort’s guest areas,public areas and heart-of-the-house areas on a regular basis and ensuring anysecurity and safetyimprovements are actioned within the designated time frame.
  • Develop and implementa security training strategy for thepropertyand ensure appropriate
  • Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel. 

Qualifications


To execute the position of Chief Security Officer, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: 


  • Minimum 6-7 year of security and safety experience including some Head of department /training experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’sdegree and more than three years of experience in asimilar securityrole are preferred.
  • Other required Certification in  FLS
  • Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
