Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Mumbai. As a key member of our kitchen Heartist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Asian dishes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation across all dishes
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during service
- Manage your station efficiently, including mise en place and inventory control
- Assist in menu development and suggest innovative Asian dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Asian cooking techniques
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, specializing in Asian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of various Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and quality
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain portion control
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
