KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


For the specific geography under her/his scope, (s)he will:


Business Partnering:


  • Be a pro-active member of the Global digital leadership team and Region business leadership team, engage with local Council members and key stakeholders, including GMs & M&S Heads, acting as local representative of the Digital function.
  • Develop a prospective and future-oriented vision of Region Digital strategy and roadmap fully embedded in the global strategy.
  • Manage business satisfaction and proactively proposes innovative digital solutions to support Region business needs.
  • Act as community leader for Digital team members in the same location, fostering engagement and career development.
  • Drive together with regional leadership the separation journey
  • Liaise with the global digital organization and act as the voice of global digital in the region.
  • Partner with your fellow digital leadership team members

Global roadmap management:


  • Ensures continuity of digital solutions and IT services, through appropriate resource allocation in collaboration with other Digital teams.
  • Active contributor to Product delivery teams providing market-specific business acumen and largely responsible to support Product Managers (and Product Owners) to plan product releases.
  • Ensures relevancy of the digital project portfolio with regards to the Region priorities.
  • Assess financial implications of digital programs in the Region.

IT Infrastructure and Operations Management:


  • Oversee Regional IT Infrastructure: Manage the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, hardware, software) across the region to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a crisis.
  • Support for Local and Regional Operations: Oversee IT support services to ensure smooth daily operations for employees across multiple business functions, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, and customer service.

Cybersecurity and Data Privacy: Ensure in full alignment with the CISO organization


  • Compliance with Regulations: Oversee the implementation of IT systems and practices that comply with local and international data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) within the region.
  • Data Protection and Security: Safeguard the company’s intellectual property, consumer data, and proprietary health information by implementing strong cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, encryption, access controls, and security audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to IT systems, data security, and regulatory compliance in the region, with a proactive approach to cybersecurity threats.

IT Governance and Compliance


  • Regional IT Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce IT governance frameworks, ensuring consistency in IT operations, project execution, and compliance across the region.
  • Audit and Reporting: Regularly conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and standards in IT practices. Report on key IT metrics to senior management.
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors, ensuring that contracts, SLAs, and service delivery align with the company’s objectives and meet regional needs.

Team Leadership and Talent Management


  • IT Team Development: Lead and mentor a regional IT team, which may include IT managers, business analysts, developers, and support personnel. Ensure that the team is skilled, motivated, and aligned with business goals.
  • Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Manage the regional IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for ongoing projects and operations. Oversee cost management while ensuring that IT services meet business needs.
  • Training and Skills Development: Ensure that IT staff are continuously developing their skills, staying up to date with emerging technologies, and are capable of supporting the evolving needs of the business.

Digital and E-Commerce Support


  • Support for Digital Consumer Health Products: Lead the IT strategy for digital platforms that support consumer health products, such as mobile apps, e-commerce platforms. Act as a strong business partner
  • E-commerce Integration: Oversee the integration of IT systems with e-commerce platforms and third-party digital tools to enable seamless customer experiences, from product ordering to delivery tracking. Aligned with central digital and business organization 
  • Customer Data and Personalization: Ensure IT systems support the collection, analysis, and use of customer data to enable personalized marketing, product recommendations, and improved customer service.

Collaboration with Global IT and Business Units


  • Liaise with Global IT Teams: Act as a liaison between regional IT operations and global IT leadership to ensure alignment on global initiatives (e.g., enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, global cybersecurity initiatives) while addressing regional needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units (e.g., science, marketing, sales, supply chain, finance, ....) to identify and implement IT solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and growth in the region.
  • Change Management: Guide the region through technological change, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, processes, and tools while minimizing disruption to business operations.

Supply Chain and Manufacturing IT Support


  • IT Support for Supply Chain Operations: Ensure that IT systems support the efficient management of regional supply chains, from raw materials sourcing to inventory management and product distribution
  • Manufacturing Systems Integration: Oversee the implementation of IT systems that support manufacturing processes, such as production planning, quality control, and logistics.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting


  • Regular Communication with Senior Leadership: Provide updates to regional and global senior management on the status of IT initiatives, issues, and opportunities. Offer strategic advice based on emerging technologies, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Project Reporting and KPI Tracking: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IT project timelines, budgets, service levels, and business impact, ensuring that IT initiatives contribute effectively to the company's regional growth and profitability.

Local application management: 


  • Coordinate all activities at regional level within his/her organization driving operational continuous improvement within the region.
  • Contribute to the convergence of local applications to the strategic product portfolio and report on plan and decommissioning of legacy apps left in CHC.
  • Report on activities and services (SLA) on industrial and distribution sites.
  • Be responsible for local / site user adoption of new solutions and change management
  • Capture local / sites business requirements and raise specific needs to business platforms.

About you 


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Successful track records in Digital Leadership roles
  • Hands-on detailed oriented people management spirit to endure every priority program is delivered on time and on budget
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in English
