About your team
As part of the ongoing finance transformation journey, Fidelity has defined an innovative and creative organisation design structure for the Finance Shared Service centre (FSS). This structure brings with it an exciting and challenging role, to make a significant contribution to the management of finance risk and other risk issues for the entire global Finance function.
About your role
Key responsibilities for the role are as follows:
- Oversight and support in Risk Event Management along with reporting
- Collaborating with the finance organisation on the completion of Risk & Control Self Assessments
- Attending and managing Risk Forum Committees
- Provide support in implementation of Enterprise Risk Framework
- Oversight of Business Resilience and Business Continuity Planning
- Support with the design and implementation of the SOX programme
- Preparation of walkthrough documents, process map, conducting Test of Design and Test of Operating Effectiveness of controls
- Drafting issue summary and finalizing it with the respective Stakeholders
About you
We are looking for someone being a Qualified Accountant with 4-5 years post qualification experience with Accounting / Audit / Assurance background.
Essential Skills
- Good knowledge of the Financial Services industry
- Shows attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and an appetite to investigate and resolve issues when they arise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks against tight deadlines, able to prioritise and organise effectively.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt quickly.
- Experience of working in an extended (offshore-onshore) global team model would be preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel alongside good IT skills particularly Outlook, Word & PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of HFM and JDE would be an advantage.
Finance/Technical Capabilities
- Finance – good working knowledge of financial accounting and reporting; financial forecasting & modelling and finance systems.
- Accountancy – has a high-level understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management
- Extensive knowledge of the SOX and its implementation requirements.
- Understands the systems that support / impact preparation of the financial statements. Risk Management and Reporting
Business Industry Knowledge
- Good knowledge of the Financial Services industry with particular focus on the global Investment Management market.
- Good knowledge of the regulatory environment that impacts the Financial services and the Finance function.
- Aware of globally significant issues and geopolitical landscape.
- Conveys relevant market knowledge to others where it might impact their goals and objectives.
