To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity. This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture. Reporting to the Head of Category Analytics, the Category Analytics Partner plays a critical role in acting as the primary liaison between Procurement Front Office teams and the category analytics experts in Procurement Services. Your responsibilities will revolve around fostering collaboration, ensuring alignment with category and sourcing strategies, and optimizing sourcing service delivery for specific procurement categories.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Primary Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for designated sourcing categories, ensuring seamless communication between Procurement Front Office teams and category analytics experts.


  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in overseeing complex projects from planning to completion. Proven ability to manage timelines and cross-functional stakeholder expectations to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery.


  • Collaboration and Alignment: Partner with category sourcing teams, procurement professionals, and business units to align on overarching category and sourcing strategies. Your input and expertise will be vital in driving decisions that impact global operations.


  • Sourcing Service Optimization: Work closely with our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team to guarantee high-quality sourcing service delivery. You’ll ensure that service providers follow global standards and fit cohesively into our broader sourcing framework.


  • Data and Analytics Coordination: Collaborate with the Insights & Productivity teams to define and meet all category-related data and analytics requirements. You’ll have the chance to innovate, analyse trends, and interpret data to guide strategic decisions.


  • Reporting and Updates: Keep comprehensive documentation on category-specific processes, contracts, and sourcing activities. Generate clear and actionable reports for stakeholders and leadership, providing critical insights that shape our global roadmap.


  • Innovation with AI: Drive PoCs on AI and ML to optimize category management and accelerate data-driven decisions. Identify opportunities for automation and partner with cross-functional teams to refine new solutions.


About you:


  • Experience: Demonstrated project management experience. Proven experience in procurement or category management. Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with diverse global teams. Prior category analytics experience, with a strong focus on professional services, knowledge of procurement best practices.


  • Soft skills & Technical skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, or similar), hands-on expertise in SAP is preferred.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.


  • Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written).
