In this role, you are expected to:




The Cash and Trade Proc Analyst 2 is an intermediate level role responsible for managing technology projects throughout the entire system development lifecycle in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to research and implement sustainable technology solutions, increase efficiency and reduce costs.


  • Research, identify and recommend technology capabilities that enable the reduction of client inquiries and manual touch points


  • Research current treasury and client operational trends and suggest solutions


  • Work in partnership with vendors, technology, and client operations teams to prototype innovative solutions


  • Propose and implement solutions that will increase operating efficiency and lead to an improved client experience


  • Assist efforts to help drive high rates of client adoption


  • Ensure requirements are clearly stated and that business and client needs are met throughout development


  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


As a successful candidate, you would ideally have the following skills and exposure:


  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience


  • 8-10 years of experience in a related role


  • Proven system development lifecycle skills


  • Proficient understanding of emerging technologies


  • Effective verbal and written skills


  • Effective analytic and presentation skills


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 


  • Good customer service skills, service oriented


  • Good Team player


  • People and Process Management,


  • Team building - Ability to manage diverse teams, conflict management


  • Ability to prioritize; analytical thinking and attention to detail


  • Ability to handle pressure, Strong inter-personal skills


  • Willing to work on Rotational/early morning shifts

  • Handle Cash Management Processing in accordance with prescribed standards of banking operational procedures and other applicable guidelines.


  • Knowledge of SWIFT and Domestic & Cross border payments, Investigations, reconciliations, would be preferred.


  • Expertise on Sanctions screening ( Identification of sanction screening matches & disposition of them after thorough Investigation, In case of any ambiguities  ability to escalate swiftly for resolution )


  • Able to surpass the delivery  service standards agreed with the client ( Accuracy & timeliness )


  • Should have knowledge on  Basic  Cash Investigations, user Acceptance -testing.


  • Quick resolution of queries raised by customers & Independent stakeholders


  • Should be able to implement appropriate controls after in-depth review of Process & Risk.


  • Has a natural flair for Assess, eliminate, Digitize the process after in-depth review .


  • Should have the flair for Process Reengineering initiatives enhancing client experience,  cost optimization & eliminate the manual touch points


  • Proactively identify and escalates any control or compliance related issues to supervisor


  • Provide a guidance to a junior level in the team and ensure the daily work is delivered timely and accurately
