As an Investment Decisioning Vice President within our Cards & Connected Commerce Finance team, you will be a strategic thinker passionate about promoting solutions. Your role will involve defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be part of a team that provides real-time insights to leadership on business performance, annual operating plans, standard financial reporting, bespoke analysis, investment decisioning, marketing analytics, card P&A, card forecasting modeling, and financial analytics. With each card product having its own dedicated P&L and subsequent balance sheet impacts, you will be adept at translating business scenarios into actionable financial insights and will be called upon to assist in real-time business decision-making on a variety of topics.
Job Responsibilities
- Track and evaluate the performance of card acquisition campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement
- Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives
- Develop and track performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align financial objectives with business goals and drive successful card acquisition efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial expertise and support as needed.
- Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Enhance controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
- Prepare insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations. Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports as required
- Acquire Knowledge of Essbase, Visual Basic Analysis, Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), etc. is added advantage
- Ensure that reports are insightful and contain commentary on key movements and watch items
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Chartered Accountant/ CFA/ MBA (Finance) (or similar educational background) with 12+ years of post-qualification experience
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, and capable of challenging status quo
- Experience in credit card acquisition, financial analysis, or related areas
- Strong financial analytical skills – Fusion of Finance and Data Capabilities
- Strong Team Management Skills – With experience in managing Associate level population
- Excellent communication and partnering skills
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
- Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach
- Adaptable to change and ambiguity in the work environment
- Expert knowledge of Excel (i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, arrays, etc)
- Knowledge of Essbase
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in finance, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Background in Data Science a strong plus. Experience in SQL/SAS/Python/Tableau a plus
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
