Job Description

The Consumer and Community Banking Risk Cards Strategic Analytics team generates thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring. This role presents an opportunity to be part of a team that is at the forefront of providing strategic insights to promote business decisions.


As an Associate within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Risk Cards Strategic Analytics team, you will be tasked with producing insightful analytics and suggestions related to strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring. Your role will involve conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis on credit card customers to identify the most effective credit risk strategy to be implemented throughout the card life cycle.


Job responsibilities:


  • Collaborate in developing, maintaining, and improving credit program policies, strategies, processes and procedures within the assigned function
  • Collaborate across policy teams, owning Control reports and monitoring Data Quality metrics
  • Conduct complex analysis and providing accurate and concise results with recommendations on correction execution activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, interpret and leverage complex internal and external data and develop analytical solutions to enhance risk strategy controls and correction testing
  • Perform data validations for existing controls and processes. Also assist with data migration to Snowflake as part of modernization
  • Support corrections testing activities to identify and remediated customers impacted by incorrect decisions driven due to data issues or incorrect requirement
  • Support dual code validations for ADHOC strategy execution based on business requirement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
  • Strong SAS/R/Python and SQL programming skills and Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Consulting, Data Analytics, Risk Strategy or related Financial Analysis
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations and prepare executive level communications. 
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and excellent project management skills to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships. 
  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail with a proven ability to learn quickly
  • A solid foundation and understanding of business processes, risk policies and technology
  • Knowledge of consumer credit and lending regulatory standards preferred

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills


  • Prior experience of working in credit card industry, including understanding of regulatory requirements
