Role Description


  • The Business Architecture team owns the bank-wide Capability Model, which represents WHAT we do across the bank. Capabilities connect to the different elements of the Bank’s operating model (e.g. Processes, Applications, EUDAs) to give a holistic view of HOW bank-wide capabilities are realised
  • The Capability Model is being used across the bank for various regulatory requirements and transformation/operating model centric use cases
  • This role will at a high-level cover the following:
  • Conducting analysis on the capability model and associated elements to drive strategic insights and respond to specific user queries.
  • Drive the improvement of the capability model by expanding to additional elements and core hierarchies of the Bank (e.g data, product).
  • Refine the Operating Model of the Capability Model and support ongoing governance activities by analysing change requests
  • Supporting solutions to various requirements/use cases of the capability model across the bank
  • Provide Capability Model functional requirements  for visualization/dashboard and operating model

Your key responsibilities


  • Drive Capabilities Taxonomy annual recertification & change control
  • Drive annual recertification of Capability mappings to operating model elements of the Bank (e.g. Process, Application, EUDA), to ensure they are up-to-date and complete
  • Engaging with Stakeholders to explain the capability model, and ensuring timely recertifications
  • Maintaining latest datasets of Capabilities and their mappings to the different operating model elements of the bank
  • Test Capability Model dashboard after data refreshes to ensure accuracy, or ensure any new dashboards built are as per design
  • Provide new functional requirements where needed to enhance the capability model visualisation
  • Utilise the different capability mappings to help address different use cases across the bank
  • Maintain key capability model documents and presentation
  • Create User Manuals/Training Materials: Guides and materials created to help end-users understand and use the new system or process effectively

Your skills and experience


  • University degree – ideally in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or equivalent
  • At least 10 years experience in banking or asset management, preferrable in Process Management, Business Architecture and/or Control Management related activities
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • Experience in operational risk management in either 1st or 2nd Line of Défense
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, particularly being adept at handling data in excel and building presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of the bank’s operating model, in particular the different components (Process, People, Technology, Controls) and how they relate to each other
  • Awareness of the bank-wide organisational landscape, Front Office, Operations, Technology and Infrastructure areas
  • Basic awareness of EPM (Enterprise Process Model)
