This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to work with Siemens NX/CAD/Teamcenter and the Cortona 3D RapidAuthor suite of tools for the development of browser-ready and information-rich documentation across Agilent. This role is passionate about the use of Cortona 3D RapidAuthor tools - a powerful and flexible authoring suite – which enables organizations to reuse 3D CAD data for authoring interactive 3D publications such as interactive parts catalogs, service manuals, manufacturing work instructions, training materials and marketing literature.

Responsibilities:

• Research and manipulate 3D CAD models to develop technical documents

• Build sub-assembly explosions for illustration of instrumentation parts and assemblies for use in user documentation

• Develop illustrated, interactive parts catalog and technical manuals from engineering drawings, models and bills of material

• Build assembly and disassembly procedures from 3D CAD models

• Work independently and as part of a team to generate a set of information-rich artifacts from engineering, manufacturing and service data

Skills:

• Experience with Siemens NX CAD required

• Experience authoring documentation in Cortona3 RapidAuthor required

• Knowledge of technical publication Industry Writing Specifications a plus

• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and user documentation

• Experience with Teamcenter and Agile PLM systems

Abilities:

• Excellent communication and mechanical engineering and design skills

• Uses advanced approaches and concepts to solve complex, high-impact design problems

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and personal organization

• Self-starter and able to make sound decisions with minimum guidance

• Highly skilled professional with functional breadth and specialized depth in area of responsibility, plus expertise in complementary fields

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience with Siemens NX CAD

• 2+ years of design experience with Cortona 3D RapidAuthor suite of tools

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
