Software engineer with the On-Prem DevOps organization who would use his programming skill to package, build and release Varian's software products. Engineer would use C# / Wix and other installer technologies to create or update installation packages. He /She would create or update the Continuous Integration pipelines and would champion the DevOps processes for the component teams

Required:


  • 3+ Years of Hands-on experience on C#.NET programming.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019
  • Basic proficiency with IIS web server, windows registry and networking
  • Basic proficiency with continuous integration tools like TeamCity, TFS, VSTS, Jenkins, Git 
  • Basic proficiency Version control tools - Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Bitbucket/VSTS, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Desired:


  • Experience of build, release and deployment on Microsoft technologies.
  • Windows Installer (MSI) technology with application packaging tools - WIX (3.x/4.x), InstallShield
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Build tools - MSBuild/Nant/Ant/Maven, etc.
  • Continuous integration tools administration - TeamCity/Jenkins/TFS Builds, etc.
  • Artifact management tools - Nexus/Jfrog Artifactory, etc.
  • Package management tools - Nuget, etc.
  • Virtualization planforms/tools - VMWare vCloud Director/VMWare vSphere/HyperV, etc.
  • Should have experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience using cloud platforms - Azure/AWS, etc.
  • Experience using containerization tools - Docker/Kubernetes/Windows Containers, etc.

Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
